I just got a WD-45 that smokes real bad, and I have a WC that don't smoke. To save money can I take the piston & sleeves out of the WC and put them in the WD-45. I know the flat top pistons will raise the compression to much so can I use the WC sleeves & rings on the WD-45 pistons? I can buy new piston and sleeve kit for under $400 but it don't say if they come with the sleeve seals, do all the kits include the o-rings?

The bores aren't even close.  Why not just take the engine outf the WC and put it in the '45 if you aren't concerned about the extra (about doubled) HP of the original 45?

I thought the WC and WD-45 had the same bore, the stroke is what's different. I would like to keep the extra HP.

You're right.  I was looking at the WC with the Waukesha engine.  I guess you could swap pistons, but you are taking a chance when you don't know how well the pistons will match up with the new sleeves. If I already had the engine tore down, the most intensive part of an overhaul anyway, I'd spent the couple hundred extra and thow an entire kit in the 45.

Our kits do include the seals.
I agree this if I had a WC that ran fine, I wouldn't sacrifice it for the WD45 for the sake of the money it will cost to just buy new sleeve kit.  You are looking at buying the seals (not much $) and a gasket kit for the rebuild, and when done you will still only have 1 engine that runs.
Drop an inframe kit in the 45 and you will have 2 good running tractors. If cash flow is the issue, I would sell the WC to finance the 45 and you will be money ahead with the same number of usable tractors when you are done.
To directly answer the question, yes the sleeves will fit, but may not be a good match to the old pistons.  At least new rings, seals, and a gasket set.  Which would be somewhere about $250 without labor.
