does anyone know what this part is?. it has a lever that atttaches to it with 2 positions, but i have no idea what it is. does not apear just to be a torquetube or sherman transmission. pictures will be up in a moment. thanks.

Without a picture I'm guessing a rearend disconnect.

What a guess. Those 4 bolts are where the cultivator lift bolts on and if you have a lever coming up off the back of it then that is the rearend disconnect. If you shift that lever while moving it will stop the power to the rearend but your cultivator lift will still function. You have to push in the foot clutch to re-engage the lever.
