Hi, I am new to this site, I just got my first Allis Chalmers wc a week ago, I had it running and drove it a little, but there is severe cracks and welds on the block, water gets in the oil really bad, it burns oil, but it starts and runs good. my question is, I have a Allis Chalmers combine engine off from a pull type and will that engine fit into a wc tractor. I did notice some differences such as, the governor is different and there are little differences in the block, and has a zenith carb rather a marvel shebler. will this engine work in my tractor or do I have to attempt a rebuild with the engine that came with the tractor. The tractor is a 1942 Allis Chalmers. Thanks

The pull type combine engine from a 60 or 66 won't work since it is a B engine. The 90 all crop auxiliary engine is a D-17 engine .the SP 100 is a WD/WD45.

WD engine may fit, but I am not sure on it. Would need to look into it myself. Hopefully someone with more experience in tractors can give better information. I just know the all crop Combines.

WD engine is the same as a WC. WD45, D17, Gleaner engine will fit with a little work.
