Still working on an AC DD grader and need some advise. Will an early style 262D head work on my original (later model) block? Will the water passages match up. I will have to block off the head mounted pump hole and use the block mounted pump. There is not enough room to used the head mounted pump.

You will need to use the water manifold for the early head, add a bypass steam line from the head to the block plus a list of more stuff. What's wrong with your 262 Diesel head that was on the DD grader? Later Diesel 262 heads off D17/D19 Diesel tractor are out there.
3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.
