Got home about 4:30 this morning.  A very good friend of mine has been on the heart transplant list for 3 years and hospitilized for the last 80 days waiting.  He had a pump installed to keep him alive, but it was havinbg problems and the options were to wait for a heart or replace the ventricular pump.  He waited, and last night a matching heart came available.
Surgery went well, and he is in recovery now.  His wife said they got to visit him just a little after I left and was surprised how well he was doing.  They told them the recovery for the heart transplant was easier than from the ventricular pump.  They have a target of 2 weeks to come home.
Praise be to God that supplies our needs and often our desires.  Had Bill passed before the heart came, he was prepared, but God chose to provide.  Pray for his family and the family that had to lose somone and make the donation.  There was another family there that recieved the lungs from the same patient.

Prayers for your friend coming your way, as well as prayers for the family of the donor.

JimD glad things are working out for your friend. Had to laugh when I noticed the bottom line on your post. "We have new and used parts, and service available, etc"

Prayers for Bill and for the donors family. Living on a list like that, waiting for the right replacement must be hard on the whole family. Wish there was a way to get everybody on a donor list so more people could be saved.
