Anyone have any experience with this VP product for use in A-C units?

Major push from them touting full on "partnership" with TSC where TSC has heavily pushed Traveller brand for years.
TSC is like Wal-Mart, negotiating the best contract prices for volume and when they settle on something, they push it hard and push other brands to the back of the shelf typically raising the price as they lose their volume discounts in purchasing.
VP started showing up here last year as Traveller Universal climbed to 40.00/5-Gln., sale priced at 35.00 as the cheaper 303 was steadily pushed off the main displays.
TSC now running adds in mailers showing VP Racing J20A Utility Tractor Fluid on sale for 25.00/5-gln., normally 32.00.
TSC is like most, only offering "sale pricing" when base stocks go down due to general oil market pricing.

I see no specs on VP site for approved/recommended manufacturer's use and find that somewhat odd.
TSC does show "Allis Chalmers C-3"and simply "AGCO" for VP on the TSC web page, no mention anywhere related to 821 like they always have for Traveller brand.

Any input from users appreciated.

I have never used it. Not around my area.......... but the spec seems to cover a wide range. I would assume it is about the same as everyone else ( 303 )

ULTRA J20A Plus Utility Tractor Fluid is formulated from highly-refined base stocks and robust additive technology for use in a variety of farm tractors, off-highway constructions, logging and industrial equipment.

  • Recommended for equipment requiring the following: John Deer J20A, J20B, J14B, & J14C, Case/IH 143, 145,MS-1204, MS-1205, MS-1206, Massey Ferguson M-1110, Allis Chalmers (C-3), J.I. Case/David Brown, Ford New Holland ESN-M2C, 134B, 134C, Caterpillar TO-2, Allison C-3, AGCO, Olier, White & Deutz TO-2
  • Industrail equipment includes: skidders, feller bunchers, harvesters and loaders
Like them all, but love the "B"s.
