My 1948 Model B's generator has been converted to 2-wire. Has anyone replaced the mechanical 6-volt positive ground voltage regulator with an electron one? Any sources for an electronic one? Thanks.

My terminology mistake. I should have said the generator is two-brush as opposed to three brush. A two-brush generator uses a voltage regulator instead of the three-position headlight switch to put a load on the generator.

A three brush generator has no different voltage regulation than a generator without a voltage regulator. With constant field current the output voltage is proportional to the shaft speed, but the third brush limits the maximum current so limits voltage a bit that way. It still will overcharge the battery easily. The light switch changes the field current and so the maximum current on the three brush generator.
