Ken: Did we have a topic going a year or so ago  about the 1939 B's.  I remember we were putting together a list of all the little oddities about the machine.

I had one given to me minus the motor but otherwise complete.  I see the steering wheel and rims are different and I believe the engines in the 39's had cast iron pistons.

Can we get a thread going on the Great little 1939 Allis Chalmers B Tractors???

Any idea what serial # they started putting  generator bosses on the BE motors? My 1940 BE41704G has them.

I believe the thread of posts were about the difference in some parts used only on 1938 Bs. I helped a good friend restore a early 38 B #751 using all vintage 38 parts which were only used in 38. The list is not to long but interesting enough to notice if restoration accuracy is important when restoring a 38B like it came new.
The stuff you can see is different was important.   The internals like original pistons made little difference in our case.   His B is almost 100% cosmeticly correct for its age.
