I bought this manifold new several years ago, and finally getting around to putting it on. I threw it in the sand blast cabinet to touch it up. I found a light blue product of some sort in one place . After it came off, I found a long crack in the casting. I'm going to bring it to a shop and see of they can  weld this cast iron. Anybody know what the blue stuff was, and would it have lasted.  Timuploads/8089/Manifold.JPG

That doesn't look like any crack I've seen in cast iron. Looks more like a cold spot when it was poured? I have no idea what the  "blue stuff" would be.
