Got mine a day off. I started with a stomach virus Saturday evening then she did Saturday night and just couldn't go today. Not my best gifting experience.

Way back I bought the wife 2 new spin cast fishing rods and her own flyrod - somehow it was a COLD day that day .

A little on the serious side guys. Since my wife passed, I have gotten numerous calls, letters, etc all scams. Just this past week she got a letter from a law firm in Canada telling her a cousin of hers had died in a accident leaving a estate of $1087000.00. To get it for us, we needed to send him a "small fee" and he would guarantee us 1/2 while he took the other half and donated it to charity. I had another one wanted to do a tombstone for $500.00. I've been around a monument company, did a lot of tire work for our local one. I knew this could not be correct. I was able to contact these people about their offer. The $500.00 was for a design on the stone. We could take that design to our local company and have them put it on a stone. Our local monument does this when you buy a stone. Insurance company's who's sales people can barely speak English want to sell me life insurance. And the list goes on. By the way, I suggest you guys don't ever buy your wives any firearms.

Tom, I did buy my wife a Remington .22-250 for Christmas about 30 years ago and she used it till she quit hunting a few years later. Never let me forget it was "hers" and said no more gun gifts. Several years later I got her an antique 5 leg oak table with several boards, I put one of the boards in a box, put it under the tree and told her it was a new shot gun, that didn't go over at all. She loved the table tho. Now she wants a handgun, I told her state law requires husband's permission for that...Harvey
P.S. gave the .22-250 to our 9 yr old grand-son and he shot a deer with one of my Dad's reloaded shells.
