always thought that the turbo ii precleaners looked kind of mean on equipment so while i am collecting enought stuff to get my d17d going i was wondering if any one had one on theirs to see how it looks

They look fine on bigger tractors, but it would look out of place on a D17. Way too big for a small tractor and would most likely obstruct your vision.

probley right about the full size it probley would be to big , thier is a smaller modal for a 2 to3 inch inlet turbo ii ls1009886 it might look ok

They are made in many different sizes. Finding a dealer for them that has part numbers for the smaller sizes may be difficult.

I installed a small Donaldson pre-cleaner bowl on my D17D and it looks pretty nice. Was about $40.

IH tractors had a similar pre-cleaner, that had a small mason jar, that screwed onto one side, to collect the dust. Most of those were used to house a toy jd tractor, at tractor pulls...
