Saw one at my local farm dealer. Say they use it all the time. Safety reasons I'm sure is part of it. Anyone ever use or own one. If so, any preferences or features. Thanks

We had several when I was still working, we bought pallet jacks and shortened them to about 30” and welded rollers on each fork to be able to “roll” the tire to align the studs, also had a upright frame to strap the wheel against to keep the loaded ones from falling over while they’re being rolled around. Worked great.

I made one for my forklift tire/rim/drum/bullgear 'assembly'. It's a LOT heavier than a D-14 combine rim/tire combo....
Mine attaches to a chain hoist then overhead I'beam.
Might be an option ?? Well if you have he overhead I=beam.....

I the military we used tire dollies all the time for aircraft tires. our wheels for a B-52 were around 760 lbs . A dolly works great on a smooth hard surface its important to have a way to rotate the tire when its on the dolly one of our older ones you had to back it away from the axle set it down rotate the tire and put it back in place. you could use a big pry bar if you didn't have far to turn it. the rest you could put a 3/4" ratchet on and rotate the tire. on the farm I find its much easier to use a lifting strap and loader.

I use my AC 706B rough terrain forklift 6000lb capacity to lift up & position DMI band duals on 7040 & 7060. Both forks can be slid together, almost side by side & use both or they both can be slid outwards of each other & use either side as long as other side clears work. It’s also very handy for adding/removing rear wheel outer weights (300lb martinsville type). Just gotta leave enough space for forklift to maneuver.
