I found a TL-11 for sale the other day that I'm looking to buy but I have no idea what its worth or how hard it will be to find parts. Its in pretty rough shape, several areas that have broke and been welded up, body is cut and bent, the motor is for some reason a wd-45 even tho as little as I can find on these they never had a 45 engine. The guy is asking 1800 for it. I think its a little high for the shape, It runs and drives and the loader works but like I said, she is one rough looking unit, It doesn't look so bad in the pictures but once you get close you can see the welds and rotted floor pan and its missing a trac bar of some sort for the rear axle. I should have got a couple pictures of it when I was looking at it today but it didn't cross my mind. Anyway, I'm looking for any info I can get on it, there is so little out there on this one, and a ball park price range. I was going to offer scrap price for it. Any help is appreciated.

What makes you say that the machine is a TL 11 ? It looks very much like a TL10 in the photos

If the engine seems to be good and you can actually use it for loading without major oil leaks I would say the 1800 is not out of line for asking price. If you buy it to restore it you have a good idea how much work you have to do...then ask yourself if you're up to it.

I thought TL-11 because its badged as an 11, and the power steering looks factory. And the owner said it is and 11. I thought it was a 10 too but with as little information as I can find I don't really know.

I've put you wrong, Michael. It will be a TL 11. I've never seen one but was told that they are a TL12 in 2wd. Trouble is our (NZ) TL12's are the styled 2nd generation from the 1960's, quite different in the panel work. I've driven both the TL10 and 12's. Good performing machines but we always expected more from them than they were capable of.
Good luck with your project and I hope to see photos of the completed machine. |

That particular configuration is unusual. They only sold 126 TL-11's. They weigh between 11 and 12,000 lbs with a 1 1/8 yard bucket. So they could lift a fair amount.
I have one too, would like to see it go to a good home. |
