Just curious when the A-C tractor is started where is the needle of the tractor booster gauge suppose to be? All the way to the left, in the middle or all the way to the right? And should the lever on the steering column be all the way down or all the way up?
Sorry for the silly questions, but I just never used the traction booster system and would like to learn about it. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Lever is ALWAYS down unless holding (middle) or raising.Never had a guage but sure it should read nothing when not lifting. This is for WD/WD45.D-series you set the notched lever for T/B position and leave it then lift and lower w/lever behind it

the WD / WD45 only has 1 lever. Up to raise, down to lower, traction booster in between. You move the lever up and down slightly until you find the correct spot. The TB gauge should read 0 unless it is reacting to a tough pull situtation, then it could go all the way up and then back down. Bob

The 'Traction Booster Gauge' is a 'Pressure Gauge' and it is monitoring the pressure in the hydraulic lines going to the 'Rear Lift Arms'.

When working should fluctuate in the center area. When lifting to the right.
As said above, it is a hid.. Pressure guage. Good Luck! Bill Long Edited by Bill Long - 24 Apr 2012 at 5:48am |
