Hello

On the manual workshop manual of the engine Standard engine 23C which is on the Allis Chalmers ED40, page 54 figure 61. it is said: injectors are of the type with nipple and contain besides a small additional hole of pulverizing to facilitate the starting by cold weather.
When we  start  the engine, the regime does not allow the needle of injector to lift up itself enough to kick away completely the opening of pulverizing, the fuel finely sprayed is then introduced by the additional hole into the warmest part of the combustion chamber.

Does anybody already seen this small additional hole on its injector?
I looked on mine  and i don't have these holes?
Does anybody have more info on this?
Thanks
