Agco 9815 electrical prob??????

   Having issues with the trans not wanting to move or while driving it will stop and shift to first and not move with error code E60 and E73. Amp guage is all over the place. The tractor will die and sit there for sometimes 5 minutes sometimes 15 minutes until a circuit breaker kicks back in. I've cleaned all terminals on the batteries,starter,grounds on the frame,checked the alternator and it checks out good, so what am I missing?????? Thanks for any and all help. It's a pain pulling up to an intersection and wondering if it's gonna move or runnin 25 mph down the road and it just shuts off with no warning. thanks alot.

	The first thing your missing is a hand held and a book to find out what those codes pertain to. What I would do is find out what those error codes mean first. There's a starting point. You said you checked the grounds , batteries, starter etc. Did you do a draw test on the Batteries? If you have a Battery sulfating, it'll cause those types of problems you discribed, especially the Ammeter doing the jitter bug. Also, check the wiring to the transmission. You might have a circuit rubbing somewhere and going to ground intermitantly playing havoc with the circuit breakers. You have a short or ground somewhere on board if it isn't one of the Batteries..... HTH Steve@B&B

	I had a 9670. Don't know if the wiring is the same for the deutz as the liquid cooled tractors, but there was an electrical connection at the front of the cab that came loose. HTH Steve

	code 60 and 73 are bottom of clutch switch and unexpected top and bottom switch operation . check switches and operation and adjustment. MIGHT be connected to the amp situation - erratic amp means interupted supply of current - gotta be fixed - either a bad supply of current or a short drawing too much.

	Finally found it. Main power coming into the cab. Thought it was the lug coming through the cab but one end is evidently not making connection inside the crimp because it was getting warm. Put on a new cable and walla everything works like it should. Thanks for the help. Mike
