need help with wd, has popping sound out of exhaust when under under load. lacks power. i have re gaped points but no help changed plug wires. problem started when i smoothed off points.

I would say buy a new set of points. You can't file points today like you used to cause the contact surface is paper thin. Then go back and double check your plug wire orientation with the firing order.

Try another condensor, if I remember right.
