Same thing happened many years ago when a Brand X dealer overhauled my 8030 for me to purchase it. Your pump is 180 degrees out of time. Do a 360 turn on the crank and realign the timing marks. Brand X dealer had never heard of such a thing as 180 degrees out or how to fix it. My diesel school and being an AC fan since the D series has kept me up on the GREAT ORANGE tractors.

we had thought of that and we were retiming it as you were typing. Just fired it up after the 180 turn and it fired right up. Thanks for you help.

the model 100 confuses lots of people since it runs at engine speed at the drive, so timing mark can either refer to 1 or 6. Most other pumps run 1/2 engine speed so when timing mark lines up, it is on #1 compression when everything is right.

Ed, I have always wondered if the 6060/6070/6080 series injection pump ran at 100% crankshaft speed as well?  Or is it 50% of the crankshaft speed.

1/2 engine speed. Those tractors use a DB2 roosa pump.
