I have a 7060 that I put a 7030 transmission in. Now this tractor will go 25mph down the highway at 2300 rpm , instead of 18.8 mph like it says it should. Does the 7030 have a lower geared rear end than a 7060? I like being able to run faster, but Im trying to find out how fast I'm actually going in the field, (supposed to be 8.4 which is slow 5th high).

You installed this Power Director style transmission in a Power Shift chassis which has faster range gears than a Power Director range trans.

You know your stuff Dr Allis. I hadn't even considered this but yes the rear end was originally powershift. Thanks for solving this mystery.
