Are you talking about the spring that holds the center link up when not in use?  Although I'm not 100% sure about the D19 (ours had Snap-Couplers) I would think they used the same spring that it seems most of the Allis Chalmers tractors used.  Here are some photos of the spring on my 170.

Parts book shows they had one, but I've never seen one on a d19. I would like to see one also.

I put a 3pt off of a 190 on my D19 and I ordered the bracket from the parts manual but it doesn't bolt on directley so I guess something else is missing. I'd like to see a factoty setup too. The bracket I have is similar to the one on my D17 series IV but has a different bend.

Darryl, Here is a pic of the top link bracket (I hope) that I think you're talking about. I wasn't sure if you were talking about the top link spring bracket or the top link bracket itself. This one is homemade, but looks exactly like the other two factory ones that I have on other D19's.

Another thing...the snap coupler setup has a rounded surface on the rear lift pod and no top link bracket can be bolted to it,where as the factory three point setup has the four bosses on a flat surface to mount the top link bracket to. Sorry for the large pic,but not sure how to downsize it yet! LOL!  Rick

Rick, I think he wants to see the bracket and spring that holds the top link up when it is not in use. I would too. Good thread!!

Okay,Aaron...i knew whatever I posted would be the wrong one! LOL! I'll see if I can get that pic tomorrow evening after work. I think my D19 diesel parts tractor has that part on it maybe. I'll let everyone know whether I do or not.  Rick

I've also been trying to figure out what the factory piece is supposed to look like. The D19 was the featured tractor in Hutch last year and of the few that had the 3pt set up not one of them in my pictures had a holder. I have seen many 19's and the closest to what I assume a factory center link holder could be would be my grandpa's. Grandpa bought it new and owned it till he passed away in the late 90's. It has seen a lot of use and abuse and would need a lot of work, but I would still love to get it from my uncle someday. Anyways back on subject here is a picture of grandpa's D19 with what I am assuming could be the factory center link holder bracket.

Here is what I made with a 190 bracket when I switched one of my 19's to 3pt using parts from a 190.

I used a piece of angle iron and flat iron to the outer top two rockshaft housing bolts. It worked really nice as it gave me a place to hold the quick couplers also. I can take better pictures sometime if anyone is interested.

I had to go downstairs and look in my D19 parts book to be sure.   A three point D19 didnt have the third link holder like the later tractors did.   Ive seen quite a number of original three point D19s, but I did have to look in the parts book and sure nuff no thrid link holder.   I guess you had to have something hooked on the tractor or put it in the shed!!!  HTH

My parts books along with AGCO parts books shows what looks like the 190 or D17 SIV bracket depending on which book i looked in. I just looked in three of my original operator's manuals and there is no sign of a center link holder bracket either. Tomorrow I will see if my sales books show anything...

No metion of the 3pt option in the sales book I have, so no pictures either. Once in a while I get lucky and find a picture of odd or missing things in service manuals, but again such is not the case. My thought is since the 3pt option was an after thought and most likely taken from a prototype 190 and slapped onto the D19 that there may very well not have been a factory center link holder?

Norm's Farm Equipment book page 239 Chisel Plows section shows a picture of a D19 with 3pt and from what I can tell there is no sign of a holder either. Just an FYI

Okay...I'll have to go along with Travis here and say that the D19 never came with a top link holder and spring. I checked all of my D19's and none of them have anything like that on them. In fact, where the top link holder and spring should be to hold the top link, there really isn't a decent place for it that I could see. I would say that there were many that were homemade to work, but none from the factory, unless someone can prove they did exist.  Rick
