Big four wheel drives aren't all that valuable in most parts of the country simply because the guys who use them a lot aren't interested in a 30 year old machine with no warranty.
I'd value it at no more then ten grand and really, $5 or $6 is still pretty fair, considering you are looking at $4,000+ for new tires. Sixty miles would be a long drive so you've easily got another thousand in trucking, unless you can do it yourself. The seal shouldn't be a big thing but carefully watch the drive shafts as they are the archillies heel of those machines, as Redline and I can both attest to. Still, at the right price, it's hard to beat for horses per dollar. |

Trucking would be no more than $300 or $400. If 60 miles at $4 a loaded mile ads up to $240 plus time to load and unload(45 minutes to an hour). Tires tough, if radials, can be $2000 a pop or more for a good brand.

I ask because I really don't need this tractor but I think I can buy it for around 5000 and it would work good for grain cart that I don't have at this time but was hoping to get one in the near future.

how big of a grain cart you plan on using? dad has an eztrail 750 and we use an 8550 on it because it pulls alot better. it will work. we unload on the go and the 7580 just doesnt have to torque to speed up and slow down while loading off the combine. now they are nice because you sit up higher than 2wd and we use ours mostly to pull 36' drill. just remember you you pretty much have 7080 power but lugging around more iron. as mentioned above drive lines and CV joints are expensive. still a good tractor though, 5000 sounds cheap to me
