got an update on the tractor pull at the pennsylvania farm show in harrisburg in january.  despite the problems there in november, the pull will be held in the main arena on wednesday january 11 at 5 pm.  i found out you can preregister until jan 5; after that will be first come first served until full.   the weight classes are 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, and 9000.   because of the weight classes, i'm not sure i'm going to go now.  my best class is 3500.  i've never had the wc down to 3000, not sure if i can make it or not, and i won't go if i can only make 4000.   i'm changing my rear wheels and tires and expect to hit the scales at a pull on new years day, so then i'll see where i'm at and take it from there.  if anyone needs the rules and registration info, send me your email and i can forward it on to you.   alan

When Ralph, a farmer I use to work for, was pulling antique tractors. We was able to get his unstyled WC in the 3000 lb class, and the only thing we took off was the PTO. But we also had Ralph's wife on it. I think she pulled it at three pulls before the JD guys made it a low horse power only class.

You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul
