Put in new vr and flashed the generator battery to arm. and nothing .Tried it again and still o volts output .So we pulled the gen. out and found one of the wires on the brush was busted.Well we will take it to a guy in pell lake he rebuids them for us and does real good work.The bearings dont sound to good either.Hopefully thats all is wrong with it but you never know these parts are really getting old.I just wanted to update the chargeing problem,sometimes these topics helps others,i know i benefitted from here before.John |

All my rebuilds have new arms in them. Gennies and starters. Its the only way to rebuild a 60+ year old unit. 10 outta' 10 that come in my shop need em', even when they've come in with a nice paint job on them and a few new parts installed.... |

We just got the genny back.It just needed new brushes cleaning and he put new bearings in also.Put it back in sat. works just fine.Olsens does good work for us .Ill try to post pictures latter .
