New to me I600

I bought a I600 a couple weeks ago(actually a 614) and need some help.One,there is a fitting under my left floor board(remember,tractor is backwards so left is right,right is left,Front is back,and back is front,but top is still top and bottom is still bottom....confused yet?) on some type of valve that has no hose on it and some goober threaded a bolt into the male fitting to plug it.It pours hydro.There is 2 fittings facing forward one over the other and the top one is the leaker/plugged on.What goes here.Also,the Power steering doesn't.Seller said it needed a valve to get it working(I am thinking it might have something to do with the plugged fitting...and hose not connected on either end hanging down under it).Lastly,the shuttle lever works fine.Got forward Neutral,and reverse but when I hit the brakes it slows down but tries to stall the engine while making a horrid noise.Doesn't the wet clutch slip like a torque converter?I plan on buying the manuals for the thing but spent $2500 plus $200 shipping on it already so I can't spend the extra $150 for the manuals till a couple pay checks.uploads/5327/photo9.jpg

No wet clutch does NOT slip like tourque converter you big stick on the left is forward and reverse if you want to stop pull leaver to center position and apply brakes if you want to stop stop push in clutch and apply brakes remember when you apply clutch your hydrulics for lift will stop it takes a little getting used to once you get the hang of it it a pretty slick set up.     The valve under you floor board was a hydrulic assit cylinder for foot opperated petal for forward and reverce. Stop the leak somehow but do not  rehook it it

When you are driving the dozer, only step on the brake on the side you want to turn to. right brake after you have the steering lever pulled back, which disengages the clutch on that side and then the other side is free to move to turn the machine. They don't work good at all if you don't pull the lever back before stepping on the brake. If you steering clutches are froze up then you will have to fix that also. HTH
