I called my local allis dealership they said this tractor was never made
could someone help me out please..the tractor is a 170 diesel

   It is a 1967. Serial Numbers started at 1005. Numbers 1005-2720 were 1967's.

i am having to find a block for it but i have a problem the block was cracked right at the numbers between the injector pump and starter  so the owner before me had ground part of the number then jb welded it . any ideas or info on what i need to do to figure out what type block i need?

I think the 170 diesel used a 236 Perkins, and the 175 used a 248 Perkins.
Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.
