I cleaned and painted my donut weights for the front wheels, put them on my D-14. I took it out on a test run and the wheels were out of balance so bad, that I couldn't drive it. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a correction for this?  Dave.

David,

I have a set on my narrow front WD and traveling in road gear is a handful because the weights put the wheels out-of-balance.  At lower speeds, I don't see/feel the "wobble" like road gear.

The ones on my D-10 and D-14 shake the H&#* out of the steering wheel on both tractors..................

Eldon: I knew you were a highly educated individual, now I know for sure.  I was wondering if maybe the inside half weights might have been engineered to take up for that. Does anyone have both sets, and does that help? Dave.

I have a tractor drive tomorrow, so I took them off, I was afraid it might hurt my tractor. I will only have the two younger Grandsons in the carryall, last year when all three rode it made the front a little squirmy. Now after a year of full feed, I know I will be in trouble.  dave.

I have donuts on both my gas and diesel WD45s, I've put them on and taken them off for different weight classes when pullin and put them back on with no reguard to how they were mounted, and they have always worked fine.

Dave - I've pumped -20 windshield washer fluid in the front tires of my D17 Series IV and it runs great in road gear out on the pavement, no balance issues at all.  About 6 gallons each tire for 6.00x16 - about 48 lbs each tire.  Mike

P.S. It's closer drive to my farm than Rick's place if you are looking to unload those donut weights...would go good on my Gleaner steer tires.  Mike
