I have a lady that has 5 of these and she wants me to change the oil in them.The current oil filters are white and don't have a number on them.Anyone know the oil filter number for this tractor.Also,is it hard to change the oil in one of these tractors.Thanks.

It's super easy to change the oil, but they are not 1945. Maybe 1954? The filter you want is Fram C159
|

Thanks for the replies.So,to change the oil,just drain from pan and replace the filter?Noticed the filter is standing upright,anything special to do there.Also,what type of oil.She said just a SAE30.Thanks.

Thats pretty much it. There is an oil tube running up inside the filter.

The only thing "special" to do is make SURE the tube attached to the filter housing stays in the housing and doesn't come out with the filter. That little tube is vital to the lube system on these tractors. The new filter will slide down over the tube before screwing it on.

Hasting Premium is LF405. $13.33 locally...

Oilman, You may know this, but I always warm up an engine before I drain the old oil. This helps remove contaminants that settle out while sitting, especially with nondetergent oil. Bob@allisdowneast

make sure you use a non-detergent oil, and when putting on new filter push filter straight down over the tube down don't turn or twist it till it hits the threads..
