Plans for the Canandaigua GOTO are Coming Along Nicely

The banquet will be held Friday evening at Club 86 in Geneva, NY, only 15 minutes from the showgrounds. The facility is handicapped accessible. Tickets are $45.00/person. The menu is as follows: Mixed green salad (served) with rolls and butter. A buffet menu of rigatoni with red sauce, meatballs and sauce, greens & beans, green bean medley, garlic mashed potatoes, Club 86 baked chicken, roast beef (carved to order), and baked ham (carved to order). There is a cash bar and cookies for dessert. And don’t forget door prizes! The speaker will be Derek Rechburger, from Kelly's Garage Farm Equipment. The deadline for tickets is July 24th, but don’t hesitate! Reserve your spot and make payments to: Lori Radcliff-Woods, 1875 East Ledyard Rd, King Ferry, NY 13081

Please put “GOTO” in the memo of your payment. Your tickets will be waiting for you at our club table at the Gathering of the Orange in Canandaigua in August.

If you plan to bring equipment (and we hope you do!) and/or camp, you must be a member of the New York Steam Engine Association. We encourage you to do this ahead of time so that is one less thing you’ll have to do when you check-in. Family membership is $25 and Single membership is $15. You may go to this link to become a member: https://nysteamengineassociation.com/membership-form/ or send payment to: N.Y. Steam Engine Association, Re: Memberships, P.O. Box 1149, Canandaigua, NY 14424. For (primitive) camping, contact Macall Gardner at 585-409-3020.

Due to how big the show has grown in the past few years the feature area has been moved to the south end of the grounds. We will be using the newest building on the grounds as our feature building, which is a big 60 ×100-foot building where we will have plenty of vendors and displays within.

We are featuring Allis-Chalmers garden tractors with a sub feature of Allis-Chalmers C and CA. Please bring your tractors whether all painted or in their work clothes. Of course, all A-C tractors and equipment are welcome. Let's show the public what they came to see, a field of Orange! The last two times we had over 500 pieces of A-C equipment on the grounds.

The GOTO committee would like to honor deceased members of our club, Simply Allis A-C Collectors of NY, at the Canandaigua GOTO. If you have any photos, please bring them to a meeting so we can include them on the honoree board. Any short comments about the member would be greatly appreciated.

Upon arrival enter through first gate. Personnel will be there to take you to the unloading area and will explain where to park trucks and trailers once unloaded.

In the feature building: JC'S Farm & Garden Supply will be there selling various tractor rims, parts, apparel and other Allis goodies. Les Sigrist of Sigrist Toys will also be there selling a wide variety of all brands of toys both big and small. Some of you may remember the full size wooden "A" model built by Bill Sontag and made its debut at our first GOTO in Canandaigua in 2004. I am happy to report that it still survives today and is now owned by E.J. Croll of Toledo, Ohio and he plans on bringing “Woody” back for this year’s show!

Dave and Heidi Clausen, who own Old Allis News, and the GOTO name, will be just inside the door to greet visitors. Right next to them will be representatives of the Buckeye Allis Club promoting their club and also selling Allis related merchandise. Outside of the building will be Pfouts Family Farm LLC. Mark Pfouts took over the parts business Norm Meinert had and has continued Norm's great service of providing hard to find parts for the older Allis's.

Each day of the show, there will be an Unofficial Allis forum meeting held around 11:00 am.

There will be a 26-mile tractor ride through the Western New York countryside. We will see a fair part of southern Ontario County, with parts of the towns of Hopewell, Gorham, Potter, Seneca, and Phelps included. Tractors must be able to maintain a speed of 15 MPH.

In order to participate in the tractor cruise, you MUST have insurance and sign a Simply Allis Club participant waiver before leaving the grounds in the cruise. In addition, ALL participants must have a SMV sign on their tractors. We will depart from the Pageant of Steam Show Grounds at approximately 8:00 am on Wednesday morning, August 6th and should return in time to participate in the daily Pageant of Steam Parade at 1:00 pm. We will post more details as they become available.

There will be lots of vendors selling great items such as Allis-Chalmers memorabilia, farm toys, and more along with some great displays from local collectors.

We hope to see you there!!

Good morning.
Yes, that is the cost of the banquet. This was the best price we could get. There will be a great variety of food.

The Simply Allis A-C Collectors of NY and the New York Steam Engine Association will be hosting the Gathering of the Orange once again, August 6-9, 2025. We are very excited and are striving to break our previous records of A-C pieces (500+) on display during the show.

If you would like fliers for your area/business, please contact me and I will email the digital copy.
