I just bought a 5 foot pole behind Allis Chalmers rotary mower. I need to put in a new PTO yoke pin. Can somebody please tell me the right size and correct one to purchase? Thank you.

Replaced the pin in a AC sickle mower with one from Sandy Lake IMP. Pretty sure they are all the same but they can tell you for sure.

I think there are only 3 types. If you have a TSC or somilar nearby, buy one of each, and compare to original... Or, take the original out, and take to store, to compare on sight...

almost all of them are 1/2 inch "STANDARD" size... there are a couple odd balls, but MOST use this pin.

That's like the one on my Woods. It keeps breaking off at the small dia. Got tired of that so use a screwdriver to poke it....not handy.

If it is breaking off, you have a problem with telescoping part of PTO. Too long or not telescoping easy enough. MACK

I need to double check but I'm sure the telescoping slide has more than enough travel and I keep it greased. I shortened the drawbar a few years ago to get the geometry correct on the two front u-joints in a turn. Took a lot of hammering out of the turns. Maybe that had something to do with it. I should replace the pin and see how long it lasts.
