yes like mounted spray tanks and boom , i would guess that it would be some type of mid mounted tanks and rear mounted boom cant see that it could have much weight on the back or maybe some sort of wd setup

Sorry Hud, I guess I took my smartass pills this morning.
24-D was released to the market in 1945-46. Spraying wasn't very widespread in those days I don't think. I'm no valuable help whatsoever, so I will crawl back under my rock.

we had some ground rented to hunt on and there was a converted CA on shop converted wide front and chain driven rear with tank under belly but CA above.
I have seen WD with similar modification w/o tank.

The earliest sprayers were used in orchards, then Tobacco and vegetable farming. Some of the old ones were pull behind with a wooden tank, but these were specialty equipment produced by independent manufacturers. AC's first sprayers in the '60's for the D series tractors, some side mounted, some pull behind. Sprayers really took off with the advent of no-till, back in the '70's...
