Can anyone point what to look for in my purchase. Someone is selling an HD6.  It’s a diesel I’m not too sure what kind of engine. It runs good just one steering clutch is screwed up What else do I look for? Price is $3500. It starts and moves.

I've had those. Later units have a heavier bottom end inside the motor. Steering clutches come out the top. If its stuck, sometimes you can put a plug in the bottom of the steering clutch housing, pour about 10 gallon of premium #2 diesel into the top of the steering clutch compartment, leave it set for several days and it might come unstuck. The main clutch should be an oil clutch while the steering clutches are a dry clutch. What is it doing or not doing? Do you have a serial number?
