 I git a call from a buddy up in the mountains that the 5th wheel we got set up at the Elk Huntin camp has fallen off the front jacks,,,, Chit,,!!  Since nobody drew out for an Elk last year,,,I don't think anybody been up there in bout a year,,, The neighbor said they got lots of rain last year as he almost lost his too. Got my big simplex house jack and some wood blocks and a shubble,,Clap The place sits at 8,650 elevation so outa be lots cooler that we been agettin down here. Jon is gonna meet me up there from El Paso and he's bringin his Can-an side by side,,so I expect he's gonna want to go lookin for ELK AND Deer once we're done,,,,,,ClapClap

be careful where you put the jack under, it might just poke thru the underside. and....you be careful too, them helichoppers don't like high elevations.

I have one of those, also free!!  Sure is handy for blocking and leveling sea cans used for storage around here!

We used jacks like that at work, we called them "Toe Jacks".  We used them to set electric switch gear and transformers. These are very large pieces of electric equipment.

Where I grew up they were called railroad jacks as that was typical of the jacks used by the track maintenance crews.

Joe, hope you got it all squared away without too much hassle. You might want to consider some ground anchors to hold it down. I have a couple of those screw jacks that the railroad crews used years ago. They are good for leveling floors and other heavy lifting that needs to be slow and steady.

 Well,,,after more that a few"lift and block, lift and re-block",we finally get er done,,!!  I'll tell youse guys,,,,, them "house jacks" are Brutal,,,,if you gots you a good handle,,,you could prolly pick up the world,,,!!! Mine is a "Simplex" and I believe it must be a 753 TON capacity,,,thet sob is many wonderfuls,,,!!!Clap I had made some cribbing with 2X4's 14" long and nailed together ,,4 of them runnin one way and next level be 4 runnin the other way,,,and total height is 20" high. We set the simplex on two of those and then jacked right under the 5th wheel stub,,,worked like a charm and He** for stout,!!!ClapClap Got her all leveled up and re-cribbed under the trailer jacks and then chocked the tires real good. It is ready to move and bring back home to see what the extent of the water damage is,,,,,,gonna have to leave the door wide open where all them kitties can get in thar and wipe out all them dang meeeces,,,must be thousands in there,,,,,Ugh,,,
 I'll tell you,,I plumb forgot the high elevation we was at and when we got to the resturant in Cloudcroft which is bout 8,600 elevation,,I was feelin kinda woozy and didn't eat much ,,I was so tuckered out,,!!!  Have to pay much more attention and go low and slow next time,,,,,,
