So I have a D14 that starting making noise in the transmission. If I push the clutch in it quits. On the high side it isn't very noticeable, but on the low side it really gets loud. Can anyone give me some direction as to what's going on? I know I'm going to have to split the tractor that's a given but I'm not sure what to look for. I went through the engine on this tractor about 16 years ago with a total overhaul. That was pretty straight forward engine stuff but not sure what I'm getting into here. Also is there a good source for a shop manual?
Thanks in advance for your input & help. Tim

Shift trans into any gear and set the brakes. Leave the hand clutch in NEUTRAL. Is the noise still there when you take your foot off the clutch pedal ??
