There is a post on YT with a pic of the above tractor. Is this machine in the class of a 7080? You've got to admit, that Case tractor "screamed" power :-)

Yes, a Case 1570 is in the same class as an A-C 7080. Back in the day we had a very strong Case & Massey-Ferguson dealer in town. There used to be a lot of Case tractors & Massey combines around here. He didn't sell many Massey tractors or Case combines. We still have a Case IH dealer in town. The closest Massey dealer is about 70+ miles away. Very few Massey combines left around here. Same for all Massey & AGCO lines. No dealer so no product in this area.

Same class but was introduced a couple years after the 7080 and in my opinion a 1570 will see more shop time. Strong pulling tractor none the less from what I've been told over the years.

i was always told those Case powershifts must be kept a minimum 5 gallons over filled to prevent failure!

I thought that was needed in the IH trannies?? Sadly, seems like the Doc has recommended this for some ALLIS models?? And FYI, it's doing "parked" PTO work(silage blower,lagoon pump) with the shift lever in reverse :-)

Don't leave them in reverse is what I remember to keep from galling them up.

According to the guys that owned them, they were not so nimble as a 7080. I have run a couple of 7080 pulling NH3 etc. I did not think they were too nimble, but they were rented tractors, dealer may have "detuned" them a bit. One of my good fuel customers had a first year 7080. He traded it for a last year 7080. His hired man told me the early 7080 would work circles around the later 1. His neighbor had a 1570. Those are what I am comparing them to. The 1570 was traded for a Case 4x4.

Dad rented a Case 1570 one fall for some tillage work, I thought it was okay, of course that was nearly 40 years ago.
