I always have to make things difficult .Has anyone tried to find conversion bearings so a D15 or WD - D17 front wheel hub would fit on a B spindle ? I could cut out rim centers and weld to outer rims but this hub change out would be slick if its possible.

Should be as easy as measuring the spindle on the B in the 2 places the bearings run, and measuring the bores in the hub you want to use. Then take your measurements to your local bearing supply company. Motion Industries probably has a bearing that will work.

That was my plan B . Was hoping someone already done the homework , my luck, this research could be a real stinker to work-out . The local parts stores around here just wants you to hand them the part number . They are not much help sometimes.

The D10 industrial I have as a project has the larger WC, WD type 5 bolt hubs on it. I haven't had anything apart, although I'd guess that as the parts book shows the same spindles as a regular D10, that just different bearings will do what your're looking to do. I might swap them over to the one CA I have a loader on, if someone doesn't take this parts tractor off my hands.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.

Don't use a 'parts store'. Go to Motion Industries in Springfield, or Webb City. Or Springdale, Ar.

I will get shaft and hub sizes today and see what comes up tomorrow . What I have is a very early series 2 D12 . It has the lighter axle with hubs & bearings same as series 1 and B - C . If this works I can put a set of 16s that came off a D17. Lot easier to find weights for.

Down load the multiple sections of the catalog from http:www.baumhydraulics.com. They search better than their on line stuff. They have a good selection of bearings and of wheel hubs and wheels. They are in Omaha.

Well , this project is over. Worked out bearing issue but , spindle shaft is to short (approx 7/8") to accommodate larger hub. Guess that why no one has already tried it. Poop!!

Better to go through to the end, than to give up before every possibility is exhausted. Good on ya, Burl!
I need more than 200 characters for my "signature." I'd love to see that changed to 250!

I've never been that deep, but how does a spindle attach?  Couldn't you just change the spindles?

It would be very costly ! The cost of larger spindle, bore out knee (tube spindle slides in ) or replace entire front axle with later model.

Is there enough room between the small end of the B spindle and the outer bearing bore of whatever hub you want to use to make a stepped nut that is threaded to serve the same purpose ?

That might work but, outer bearing is on some of threaded end and that makes to much clearance between the two surfaces. Kinda loose !
