My allis WD has the spin out rims that are nearing the end of their life. Does anyone know if I can use a 4 loop rim on the tractor instead? They are much more economical!

I think so, but I don’t recall seeing a Ed or wd45 without the spin out rims. The 4 loop are less than half the price.

How would you connect the 4-loop design to the clamping eccentrics of an A-C ?? So, I say, no, they won't work.

Just get some JD,IH or other 8 lug centers and then bolt on the 6 loop rims,usually 28" or 30" rims work on the same centers.

Bite the bullet and buy the correct rims. You could cobble together plates to mount 4 loops. You could buy blanks cut yours apart weld the rail on repaint. If you don't get everything atraight either way you'll. Have tires that don't run true and it'll piss you off every time you drive it. In the big picture how much is your time worth. If you have the production facilities and do it reguarly you can do it in acouple days. Otherwise a month from now you'll still have it sitting taking up shop space when you could be getting a project done and out of the shop.

Look on CL and FB Marketplace. I just saw a pair on CL here. One has a new tire on it. You can also use pressed steel rims. They are most commonly from combines, but any 8 hole rim will normally fit.

No reason to 'cobble' anything he can use factory wheel centers and rims to fit probably do the set for less than a Power Adjust rim will cost,plus PA are about the biggest pain in the rear of any wheel style made to change out rims on the wheel centers.30 minutes I can have a set of 6 loop rims bolted on 8 lug centers ready to mount tires on with time to drink a cup of coffee.

There is one caveat, to replacing centers, many of the 8 x 8 x 6" hole centers are made for 5/8 bolts. Another one is that not all PA centers, will fit a AC. I have a pair of PA, off a MF and the center is to deep to fit the final drives of my D17, they also have 5/8 bolt holes but, I think the 4 rail, PA rims will work.
My, new to me, D14 has some sort of 6 loops that come with it (PA centers and rims are junk) they have 5/8 holes in them, so I am going to have to deal with that issue. Unless I come up with another idea, I will have to make tapered bushing and use standard grade 8 bolts.

I've seen a set of loop style mounted to spin out centers. I think they made some brackets to get them to fit. Pretty sure I saw it on this site, so maybe a search will come up with something. No way on earth would I want to spend the hours it'd take to cut the old rails off and weld into a new rim. Depending on how bad yours are, they can be successfully patched if it's just around the valve stem. AaronSEIA

****I had talked to him and he just cut out an 8 bolt tractor 24 inch disc wheel to fit the CA centers into. Stitch welded on just one side....Has those on 3 of his tractors for several years without any problems.....Dale

Several years ago, I bought a replacement rim for my D-17 from OK Tractor. The rim fit perfectly. Good quality at a very reasonable price too. If I ever need another replacement, I will definitely call Jim at OK Tractor.

Last year I got a new spin out rim for my WD45 from OK Tractor. Perfect fit, price was agreeable...I second OK Tractor...
