2900 idler gear washer position

On a 2900  AC engine when re-assembling the Idler gear and bearings at front of engine, does the bearing spacer need to be in a certain position  on the idler shaft in relation to the oil hole in the shaft.

Open space down to allow oil to run into the bearings by the magic of gravity.
