Gm 4-71 engine 98 pto/82 drawbar hp
weight 21-23000 lbs bare tractor manual transmission 6F 2R with the hi/low and master clutch parts machines are pretty easy to come by, engines are easy to get parts for since GM. they have a monolithic powertrain. very durable, but putting a clutch in means pulling the engine unlike later AC models, not a bad job though. trans and rear end 1 casting. single reduction final drives. if abused and overworked the pinion gears tend to loose teeth, but depends on how it is treated. we had one for many years and sold it to upgrade to a larger model. I bought another a couple years ago and use it occasionally but also have a larger newer model. they are slower and more cumbersome than newer models but with some patience and learning to use the machine within its design limits they can be productive for occasional use. not something to use to make a living. like any crawler, the undercarriage condition is important. this is the one I currently have. loaded to bring it home and after reworking the cutting bits on the blade and used a bit. ![]() ![]() Edited by CAL(KS) - 10 Apr 2018 at 8:17am |
