I know some people have converted to snap couple on some 3pt implements. Would you happen to have any pics and descriptions on what you did? I am just thinking about a project.

Take two 3" x 3" x 3/8" thick angle irons and form them in a "A" shape to connect the lower lift pins on the implement to the snap coupler bell. Make yourself some lift links to the lift arms and figure out what to do about side sway. I prefer to have the tractor set-up for the top link connection point because it allows the PTO to still be used and it's just stronger/better than way.

Look at the plow parts book linked under AC Plows Parts 101 over on the Knowledge forum. The plows of that vintage (model 60, 70, 80 and 9000) used the same plow frame and offered snap coupler or 3 point hitches shown on separate pages of the parts book.

I just bolted SC 3pt adapter to 3pt implement AND bolted a top link to it as well. That way the implement is always adjusted right.
I know most leave the top link on the tractor but by the time I get it right, I'm done in the 'field'. |

Mount Pleasant is closer to Onalaska that Pleasant Hill.
Pleasant Hill is a southeastern suburb of DesMoines. Mount Pleasant is about 40 minutes south of Iowa City on 218. It's where the Old Thresher's Reunion is held every fall. |

Yup, SE Iowa. I will be in Dubuque on March 3rd. That would make it about 150 miles closer to you. PM me if you want details and a picture. Dad has a couple of them I'm sure he would sell.

Woods mowers used to offer a snap coupler option, on their mowers. I've seen these used as light duty adapters, for AC tractors, and also as more or less permanent attachments, to other implements...

Here is a pic of an AC Snap Coupler adapter that goes on your implement and stays there. Has the adjustable top link too, set it and forget it.
