someone went to a lot of work to paint it the wrong color. i'm thinking it was prolly used by a construction company pulling a foot or disk.

I just thought of something, run the VIN # thru your local law office, we found a Case skid steer repainted in all red once, and it was a stolen unit being used by a road construction company.

Jim, it's stamped on the back of the tractor above and to the left of the PTO.

Surprised it has an AC engine still in it. I know where there's a 7040 with a DT466 in it, and looks like they did a nice job on it. Rest of tractor is still original though.

I always felt that the AC 7000 serie's hood&grill contour closely matched the IH 5088 series. Personally, when these tractors were introduced, I always like viewing them both. So an IH enthusiast operator may have thought the same? Yes, someone went to great strides to paint even its wheels IH colors.

I agree. I know that people are at liberty to do what they want with their own property, but why the hell would you do that. I'm still crying in my soup over my D 17 that got painted PO one instead of PO two twenty years ago. But at least it's orange. Red....../ Wrong in so many ways. Darrel

If the red paint job was done properly it would not be too bad a job to repaint but if you look at the first picture behind the rear tire you can see where it is peeling off and orange showing.  Get out the sander for this one.

Wonder what it would have brought if painted the proper colors?
Saw a 9N Ford with a loader listed at an auction a couple weeks ago, painted JD green and yellow, brought $900, they usually bring a couple thousand.
