Does the 170 with 226 engine have dry or wet sleeves? I pressurized the block and we are getting water in the oil pan.

With the pan off,pressure it up and you can see where where it comes from.Likey a sleeve o-ring.Better than guessing.

Never seen a bad sleeve Oring on a D-17 gasser. Cracked block, head gasket or frost plug in the top of the cylinder head are the most common issues.
