Got the wc out today and the sediment base gets plugged with crud. Blew back through and get fuel flowing runs a little bit and plugs up again it doesn't seem like rust inside tank looks ok its like a varinish type crap. Was going to pull tank but was wondering if there was some cleaner to use or just get some diesel and slosh around.

Granddad used to put old nuts/bolts/rocks in the tank, then strap the tank to the wheel of another tractor and go plow or do whatever he was going to do that day. By the day's end, the tank was clean! Just dump all the stuff out of it and rinse it good.

Put the wand of a pressure washer thru the fill hole. Move it around and try to hit as much of the tank bottom as you can. That will clean the bottom pretty well. Flush with clean water until nothing but water is coming out.

Haha tannerite will try a couple other of the options before that. Tanks stl straight. Other than the crap inside the tank.

Put a gallon of laquer thinner in it, sloshing it around, let it set a day then power wash it out, refill it , or dry it out with a heat gun, hair dryer, works great

i used phosphoric acid on my d14
was pretty rusty inside, thought for sure i'd be looking for a new one. removed tank and put about 1 quart in there and sloshed it around for about 5 minutes then rinsed with water did this a total of 3 times. the last time flushed with gasoline to prevent surface rust. wish i could take some good pictures of the inside it looks bright shiny new, i was very supersized how well it cleaned up. dan
