Help me out everyone, got a real good friend with a nice B that foolishly let the block freeze, help me find a good block, engine or tractor that could be an engine donor.
This one is a early B with magneto, but I'm assuming a late block will work? Are the genny mount bosses the only difference? I know a C has the same motor, but is the CA the same too? Something in the Southern USA would be nice! Edited by JoeM(GA) - 20 Apr 2017 at 4:55pm |

They will all work.
Won't the smaller D series engines work as well?

I know I am to far away up here in Ohio next to the Michigan line but have some blocks. At my age and health condition I suppose I should think about letting some go.

They will work. Like the CA blocks he would need the step studs to bolt the front on. they are threaded for 5/8" studs rather than the 1/2" studs. The B front could be drilled to 5/8" though. I never wanted to drill out the narrow cast fronts to 5/8" to just use straight 5/8" studs.

I have several bare blocks to choose from. No cracks on the top deck. A little far from you, but thought I would through my name in the hat also.
