There are book sellers all over Alibris, Abe, epay, and Amazon that think they should be able to sell for a higher price than their competition to the point that a new book that the publisher offers for $39.95 they ask $140 and up. I guess they expect to find a sucker with lots of money and no sense of value to buy when there aren't any other copies offered. Otherwise it looks like they expect to buy at retail and sell for at least 100% mark up. I doubt they actually have inventory because they shouldn't have sales.

They explain on their Ebay site that they added $5000 to all items.
This was done so they could go on vacation and not have to attend to sales, because they figure there will be no sales. The normal price was $129 for that manual. Is this a normal practice at Ebay land?

I have seen books and manual listed for way more than retail. I guess trolling for loose change is a time honored way of helping the bottom line. Just call them or email and usually they will settle for reality.
