The price of new "brand name" tires can cost more than the tractor is worth, one reason that I"ve cut way back on restoration of old tractors. This summer I bought a tire at an auction called "east one" made in China -- it smells like old railroad ties . The good news is I put it on a red tractor. Good luck finding cheap rubber!

I bought a pair of new East One tires and put them on my D10. They are excellent tires and smell OK to me.

In recent years, Blevins Tires in southern Ashland County, Ohio, is by far the best place to get tires around here. Both tractor tires and truck tires. He's just an old farmer who lives way out in the country. He doesn't need a lot of markup to make enough money. I think it's a Perrysville address but he's near Lucas too. If they get busy they don't answer the phone so don't bother calling, or maybe call him around seven AM. A really good place.

Around the Kansas City area, we buy some from Tire Town. They have blemished tires and take offs in some sizes. Blems are quite a lot cheaper that new. They just grind off the names. I think Tire Town are also in other cities. Dave.

I just got new tires for my "C". Searched around for used with no luck. Checked Ebay and found good prices but the shipping and then the amount I'd have to pay to get them mounted was almost as much as buying them local. Finally bit the bullet and got to rear tires with tubes & new tubes for the front ones from the local FS. They cost twice what I paid for the tractor but they will probably outlast me. Wife is just starting to talk to me again but as they say asking forgiveness is better than asking permission....
