What is the reasoning for B arched axle tie rods to have different threads, one is finer than the other, both are right hand?

No idea and all that would have been in design that could give a solid answer is dead. Most likely the reason for the silence.

This allows for a finer adjustment allowing the clamps to be on top.
If both had the same thread you would just be moving the tie rod

Tbone you get the gold star....

The one I first noticed this was a '39, I thought maybe someone had changed one of the ends, but I checked on the '49 it was the same.  The reason for noticing this is my grandson and I were pull starting it, I said hook it around the round rod (meaning the stabilizing rod), well he hooked on the tie rod,  when let the clutch out tie rod bent.  I should've not been to lazy to get off and look where it was hooked.  Thanks for the replies...Tim
