With growing up on the outskirts of metro Atlanta I never really realized how much farming is done in Georgia. I knew the chicken industry is huge but never realized the peanut, pecan, and cotton industries are as big here as they are |

We drive through Georgia at least 2-3 times a year to visit our son at Hilton Head, South Carolina. I've always been amazed by the change in topography from the north end down to Savanah. That 2.5 hour drive on I-16 from Macon to Savanah though is one boring stretch of highway. lol

Man ain't that the truth. We live on the east side of hwy 411 and it's the typical hilly/rocky north Georgia. Go west of 411 from here and it's flat as a fritter from here to the opposite side of Calhoun. Here in the hilly parts it's hard to find a good producing well (more than 15 gallons a minute). Go to the flat streak and people are getting 30 to 70 gallons a minute. Go figure |
