While taking wife to the doctor today (4 hours from home) I saw a farm with 3 Allis Chalmers silage wagons setting behind the barn. They are rare in my part of WI. One had a factory roof but all had been setting for a long time and were to far gone to ever use again. I stopped and asked about them as I would like a factory roof for my Allis wagon to make it more usable when chopping hay. Son (about 50-55) said sure we would sell them as they will never be used again. He told me to drive out and look at them then he would be out. When he got there he shook his head and said I am sorry but dad (81 years old with mind problems) still owns them and wants $1200 each for them. They haven't been moved in 10 or more years. I said maybe I would stop back next spring and see if dad had a change of mind. Two of them had Allis 700 gears and one had a 701 gear. Not sure if adjustable tongues or not as they were to buried and froze in the dirt. They had lots of other orange like a D19,185 and several 7000 series along with a good many WD and WD45's. Tom

I was south of Arcadia heading to Eau Claire for wifes doctor. I told him next spring have your dad go take a look at what shape they are in and I would stop back or give him a call. Tom
