Hi all, with me/the museum being in Thibodaux, la (the home
Of Thomson machinery) we have a few Thomson conversion tractors. Namely, a UC cane harvester, A UC cane picker, a UC with a 2-71 Detroit in it, a high crop UC, a D17 diesel high crop, and a B that has been converted to high crop, but doubt it's a factory job. Do any of you guys have Thomson conversions? If so I'd love to see them!

Bumping back up. JoeM has a nice UC cane tractor, and I look for excuses to look at it. LOL! Welcome aboard! Got any pics of yours? We'd all love to see them.
I didn't do it! It was a short, fat, tall, skinny guy that looked like me!

I'll definitely get some pics of our thomson's up soon. Sadly, the diesel conversion, the harvester, and the UC high crop are parts tractors. They are mostly complete, but engines are locked tight, tires are shot, and the harvester is soo rusty. Without a good budget, I am forced to let them rot... The cane loader however is complete, loose, has compression, and last ran in the 1980's. Now, it needs all new hydraulic lines, both hydraulic cylinders rebuilt, and the usual going over. I would get it running, but gotta get approval to get hydraulic hoses made up ($$$$), and I have a few other projects to get done first.

UC with diesel conversion. I believe its a 2-71 or 2-53 Diesel. it's been sitting with the stack un-corked... so I'm gonna guess it's stuck.

D17 Diesel Thomson high-crop. I believe this is a series IV? it's a '62 or '64.. engine loose, missing a few fuel system lines, Needs a tire, as I aired them up a few days ago, and one of the big 14.9-38's blew.. it was gonna be my next project till that happened. it's also got Thomson Wheel weights on the rear.
