Went out to eat tonight. Kids and grandkids were with. Heard the wife talking to 7 yr old grand-daughter about her birthday next month. What do you want ? MONEY was the reply... I asked her what she was going to do with the money ? ..... Buy food for the cats and dogs at the local animal shelter.. She wants to go visit them once a week this summer... I told her to count me in.......... Seems like they got more toys than they can play with anyway !

Every now and then my faith is restored in mankind and your granddaughter is an example. The 2 young ladies whose dad I help on the farm are also in that category. one is 17 and the other 12 2 of the best I have ever seen at that age. Between them they have 5 show cattle, and I cannot begin to imagine the hours they spend daily with those animals, plus do evening chores, school activities and other tasks on the farm.
